Description

Writing Letters to the Earth is an activity based resource to help students deepen their connection with the natural world and the people they are sharing it with.

These resource pack includes videos, discussion questions and exercises like debates and map activities to help bring students together to explore their responses to the planetary crisis and create more connections to the Earth.

The teacher will have a broad choice of introductory activities to help set the stage for the main activity, writing a letter to the Earth. Writing prompts and letter examples are included as well as extension activity ideas for sharing the letters.

Writing Letters to the Earth is a plentiful resource that includes many ideas and activities that could potentially be developed into a teaching unit for Science or Language Arts classes at the middle school level to address sustainability and climate change.
