What is Sustainable Development is a short video that offers a simple introduction to the term of sustainable development for younger students.  It explains that sustainable development is how we can make the world a better place for everyone now without destroying the possibilities for the next generation. It also explains and gives examples of the three components of sustainable development: social progress, economic development and climate and environment.

This simple short video offers a easily understandable explanation of sustainable development for upper elementary students.  It could be used in the science classroom as an introduction to the Sustainable Development Goals or alternatively, as an introduction to taking action to combat climate change on a personal level.
