The Story of Stuff-Bottled Water

Secondary, Middle

Description

This video uses the concept of “manufactured demand” to explain why North Americans consume water from over half a billion of plastic bottles every week, when it already flows from the tap. With cartoon graphics, host Anne Leonard explores the bottled water industry’s attacks on tap water and its use of seductive, environmentally-themed advertising to divert attention from the plastic waste this industry produces.

General Assessment
