Description
The Plastic Cycle Story is an interactive tool that takes students through how plastic interacts with our environment, above and under the water. The interactive infographic allows students to learn how plastics move through different parts of our water and carbon cycles and infiltrate our ecosystems. Students click on the icons to learn more about the plastic cycle and how microplastics are infiltrating land, oceans, groundwater, marine life and humans. The website provides a glossary of related vocabulary.
This interactive infographic is part of the Ripple Effect Program which brings students together to take climate action for ocean protection.

This interactive infographic is an excellent tool to introduce microplastics above and underwater. The infographic pop-ups explain how plastics affect different areas in the environment and addresses the consequences related to the use of this simple and convenient product. It is an excellent tool to begin a class discussion on how our lifestyle choices have severe impacts on our planet, now and in the future.
