The Impact of our Food

Secondary

Description

This multimedia animation explores the environmental impact of food production.  In game format it allows students to rank common foods according to three different parameters:  total carbon footprint associated with the product and the water use in liters or land use in square metres for the production of one serving.   Each student chooses a parameter to explore and the program will generate one of 36 foods.

Students/teachers can also download a printable pdf file containing information cards for all 36 foods to use offline.
