The Biomes and Ecosystems

Description

This video explores the earth's major biomes, ranging from the arctic tundra to the tropical rainforests to the deserts and raises concerns over changes due to climate change.  The video features striking footage of these different climatic regions and questions are posed to help students consolidate their learning. Suggestions are also presented as to how the students can help mitigate the effects of climate change in their own backyard.

There is an optional quiz on the website consisting of four questions that can be completed after viewing the video to assess student learning.

The video "The Biomes and Ecosystems" would be an excellent introduction in the elementary Science classroom to the topics of climate, climate change, ecosystems and habitats.
