Description
Viewers learn how trappers in the bush are witnessing and experiencing the dramatic effects of climate change firsthand thus making them crucial in understanding and addressing its impacts. The narrator, Dr Rose Roberts comes from a long line of trappers, with her family's trapline being passed down for generations. She also holds a PhD in community health and with 'two-eyed seeing' makes a very credible case for an approach to understanding and addressing environmental change that combines both Traditional and western knowledge.

Recommendation of how and where to use it
The video offers an excellent case study to support climate change education in a range of subject areas including geography, social studies and science. It will be of particular interest to those examining climate change in Canada's North and its impact on First Nation's communities. It may also be used as an illustration of the concept of traditional environmental knowledge (TEK) and the need to listen to those on the front line of climate change.
