The video “Remembering Africville” is from the animated web series History Bits. It tells the story of the Africville, a black community that had existed in Halifax for 150 years before being bulldozed by the city. The video describes the justifications used by the city for its actions as well as the many environmental racists acts that had occurred in the neighborhood. The video also reveals the present-day spirit of the community that is still thriving in spite of the injustice suffered.
