Students will participate in a guided walk through the woods behind the school, their neighbourhood, or any area where there are trees to explore. They learn the features of trees that are used in identification and practice identifying trees using guides or mobile apps.

Upon returning to the classroom, students will conduct further research on the different trees found to learn about the products and benefits trees provide.
