In this simulation game, students learn about the importance of Earth’s ecosystems, resources, and our duty as global citizens to protect it. Students participate in a board game modelled after Sustainable Development Goal 15, Life on Land. Throughout the game, students are given the opportunity to make individual decisions that impact the land, its species, and humanity’s future needs with their given monetary resources. The lesson focuses on biodiversity, animal extinction, forest management, and freshwater ecosystems.
