Secondary, Middle

Description

Students carry out an electricity audit in their homes to determine how much energy they are using.  They investigate lighting, doors, windows, outlets, electronics, and appliances to determine how their families can be more energy-efficient in order to save money, limit consumption, and reduce greenhouse gas production.

General Assessment

Recommendation of how and where to use it

This activity is well designed and its real-world application will help make any study of electricity/energy use more meaningful and relevent to lives of the students.
