A project of LSF
This video helps students understand how weather forecasts are made in Canada and highlights the role of the Meteorological Service of Canada in monitoring and predicting weather. It explains the tools and technology used to collect weather data, such as radar and monitoring equipment, and shows how this information is analyzed using computer models. The video also highlights the role of scienctists, engineers, and meteorologists who work together to interpret the data and provide accurate, timely weather forecasts to Canadians. It also explains how experts at Environment and Climate Change Canada are continually improving forecasting methods by studying other parts of Earth's systems such as oceans, ice, lakes, and rivers, to develop more complete Earth modelling systems.
