Fast Fashion's Environmental and Human Costs

Description

Given the popularity of trendy clothes with young people in particular, the video reveals the poor working conditions and some of the environmental impacts of the fast fashion industry. Journalist Iman Amrani discusses the results of her investigation of the e-commerce platform, Shein and the role of influencers in making it one of the fastest-growing ‘fast fashion’ brands in the world.

The video lesson is supported by focus questions and suggestions for further investigation.
