Little Plastic Footprint app helps students reduce the amount of plastic in their daily lives. The app calculates their plastic dependency and offers solutions to reduce it, eliminate it and work towards becoming plastic-free. The app shows you everyday items that you use and ways in which you can either avoid using them or use alternatives to curb your plastic reliance.
The app offers information on waste-free options, as well as fun tips and tricks to live an eco-friendly lifestyle. It helps guide students as they work towards a goal of zero-waste living by taking pledges to reduce their plastic usage, tracking their progress and adopting sustainable plastic consumption habits directly from the app.
Aimed at helping students go plastic-free, the app challenges students to adopt healthy habits regarding plastic consumption. The app can be used to introduce students to source reduction at an early age and to promote conversations about lifestyle choices that affect the environment. The app can be integrated into health and social studies curriculum or as part of Earth Day or World Ocean Day in Early June.
