The Flood:ED program engages learners in hands-on learning about flooding. Students are guided through various learning and take-action activities, where they learn about the issue, develop a flood resilience plan for their school, take action to combat flooding in their communities and report the impact of their actions.

Once students have completed some or all the activities, register for the Flood:Ed Challenge. Students are invited to build flood resilience in their schools by planning and taking action.
Flooding is the most common natural disaster in Canada. Flood:ED helps students understand the impact of flooding and invites them to explore ways to prepare against flooding at home and school. The program features a variety of learning activities, including a topic backgrounder, educator guide, key terms glossary, lesson plans, and assessment templates. The activities and challenges are authentic, real-world challenges. They incorporate hands-on activities, digital simulations and explorations into complex environmental issues that your students are concerned about.
